Saw these two perform last week at the largo. Some guy in a bunny costume opened up the show w/ air drumming on a stool to three songs. It was three songs too many. Seriously, how did that concept get the green light? Anyhow I’ve probably seen zach a dozen times and theres bits of his set that are repeated but still manage to make me laugh every time. Brody tends to host a lot of zach shows and his sole purpose in the show is for Zach to make fun of him. Most of the jokes are silly and juvenile and all about his big jewish nose. He told a story of how Brody showed up at his house w/ shaved arms wearing diesel jeans and he called him Ryan Serbiaquest. He also did an impersonation of a guy from queens thats really into cargo shorts that killed me.
He has a few movies coming out this year, unfortunately most of the movies he picks are pretty shitty. I did catch one that I loved at the AFI fest this year called Visioneers. It reminds me a bit of 1984 with a Zach twist. There’s lines in the movie that I know he had a hand in writing. This movie gets two snaps in Z formation!
